An Endless Landscape

May 24, 2017
Kangiqsujuaq

Kangiqsujuaq: "This is the end of the landscape," says Adamie Phillie poetically. Mountains have no name, they're called "mountains". From a distance, the village is quiet. A passing truck, two off-road vehicles, children on bicycles, silence and wind playing on each other. An immense territory that opens up to even greater horizons. No trees, an arid but beautiful land that Adamie loves so much. The North is great!

Transcript

Nestled between partially snow-covered hills and the frozen bay, the village of Kangiqsujuaq stands out from the landscape because of the straight lines formed by its houses and streets. The sun shines in a cloudless blue sky. Cars as well as a few off-road vehicles roam the streets of the village.
